AGRONOMY SECTION

COTTON

i) Interculturing with bullocks driven plow may be continued.
ii) Irrigation may be given as per schedule depending upon the condition of crop and the need of crop, so that cotton crop during flowering and Boll formation may not be affected.
iii) Second dose of urea must be given to cotton as early as possible.
iv) Control measures must be adopted against the attack of sucking pest i.e. Thrips, Mites, whitefly and jassids as well as against boll.


FODDER

i) Sowing of Jowar, Maize and Bajra must be completed.
ii) Irrigation may be given to cultivated crop to promote good growth..
iii) Fertilizer application must be given as per recommendation.
iv) Harvesting of fodder may be done.
v) Cutting of jantar fodder may be done and irrigation applied after cutting so that 2nd cutting is not be delayed.


COTTON SECTION

- Area where Heliothis or spotted bollworm may be appeared should be controlled with suitable pesticides.
- Top dressing of fertilizer urea at 1 bag / acre should be done in late sown crop of lower Sindh.
- Removal of grasses and weeds should be continued to keep the cop free of weeds.
- Smaller crop should be sprayed with hand sprayer and advanced crop should be sprayed with solo power sprayers.
- Sprayings should be done in early hours of the day.
- In case of rain, application of fertilizer and spraying should be delayed.
- Advance crop sown in district. Tharparkar starts opening, picking should be started where 30% bolls are opened.
